I want to start off by saying that we are just so excited to see the world and explore things that we never could have imagined. But we always had to start somewhere. Argentina has always been our first destination for this full-time travel journey. We had initially chosen the country as our vacation destination for early 2021 but the COVID-19 pandemic prevented us from taking that vacation. As a result, it was a country that we just couldn’t let go of.
It's Always the Weather
When we decided that our departure date for full-time travel would be in October, Argentina became even more obvious. The southern hemisphere’s seasons are the opposite of the ones in the northern one. That meant that October would be the start of spring. (And if anyone knows me, they would know how much I want to avoid the cold.) The climate in Buenos Aires is mild at that time of the year, perfect for us to get settled in our new life.

The Diversity in the Landscape
Now, talking about weather is boring. However, there were a number of other reasons that made Argentina the obvious choice for the start of our full-time travel. The landscapes throughout the country are so extreme and diverse. There’s the huge mountain range to the west, the glaciers in the south, the desert, the rainforest, the flatlands, vineyards, the city, the wildlife. You want it, they’ve got it. Starting in Buenos Aires gave us an easy transition from one metropolitan area to another. You can read more about our time exploring Buenos Aires here.
